Trained as a chef, Bertrand Schmidt ran several establishments in the catering trade for many years. He then specialized in the sale of restaurants, before expanding into the sale of all types of real estate over the past eighteen years (Régie Galland in Lausanne; Régie La Couronne in Vevey; Gerofinance-Dunand in Montreux).

He opened his own agency "Cassiopee Immobilier" in 2016 in Cully.
