Neuhäusler Josin (Susch)

The painter Josin Neuhäusler (51) has been offering courses for interested amateurs and professionals in his own workshop in the Lower Engadine village of Susch for many years. These courses are held in collaboration with Engadin / Scuol Tourism. Every year, up to 1,000 participants from different countries and from all age groups and social classes attend his courses. Kindergarten and school classes are also regular guests.

Josin Neuhäusler is a trained painter. He was introduced to the ancient scratching technique by his father, whom he has assisted in several sgraffito projects in and around Susch. Josin Neuhäusler also enjoys carrying out renovation work on existing sgraffito houses. One day he had the brilliant idea to offer sgraffito courses for guests. These introductions to the ancient craft are very popular year after year.
