The plasterer (also called stuccoer) is the job title for a construction craftsman working in interior finishing and on facades and the associated apprenticeship occupation

Plasterers plaster interior and exterior walls, create lightweight walls and suspended ceilings made of plasterboard (drywall) and Rabitz. Another important field of work is the thermal insulation of buildings, for example with external thermal insulation composite systems.

The profession also involves working with stucco (plastic molding of mortar or plaster on plastered surfaces). This field of activity is still in demand today. This work requires a good education, a lot of experience and tact. Stucco parts can be prefabricated in the workshop or created on site at the construction site. Depending on the place of installation on the building, a distinction is made between interior and exterior stucco. The combination of classical stucco techniques with modern coating techniques and modern design offers today suitable execution possibilities for every building measure.
